After assembly, you need to write the image onto the SD card first. You can go to the WIKI page on our website to download the PiSmart image (based on Raspbian).

The installation is the same with that of the Raspbian If you’re not so familiar with this, please go to the official website of Raspberry Pi and click through Help -> Installation -> Installing images and find the image for your system under WRITING AN IMAGE TO THE SD CARD, at this link:

https://www.raspberrypi.org/documentation/installation/installing-images/README.md

And write the SD card according to the tutorial.

When the image has been installed successfully, you can insert the SD card into the Raspberry Pi, connect the latter to power, then press the power button to boot.

Tips:

When the Raspberry Pi is off, boot it by pressing the power button for no more than 2 seconds.

When it’s on, power it off by pressing the power button for at least 2 seconds.

When the Raspberry Pi is booting, on the PiSmart you will see a circle of blue LEDs mimicking breath. At the same time, the red LED for power of the Raspberry Pi keeps steady on and the green one is blinking.
